Roland DG, the world’s leading provider of digital printing solutions, has successfully completed its transformation of the paediatric and neonatology units at Barcelona’s iconic Hospital de Sant Pau. This collaboration marks the latest step in Roland DG’s mission to humanise select hospital spaces across Europe, creating more inviting, engaging, and child-friendly environments.
In partnership with creative agency Chispum, the transformation leverages the cutting-edge TrueVIS AP-640 resin printer to produce over 2,000 square metres of vibrant and interactive wall graphics. The designs feature educational and playful journeys through the human body, enriched with artificial intelligence elements to captivate young patients while providing valuable educational insights.
The completed installation has already begun to uplift the experience of the hospital’s 55,000 annual visitors, fostering a sense of magic, colour, and promoting positive attitudes toward healthcare among children and their families.

This initiative at Hospital de Sant Pau continues Roland DG’s wider European campaign to brighten children’s medical facilities. Earlier transformations included projects at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children in the UK and Policlinico di Milano in Italy.
