Hosted at the production site of long-standing partner Die Pharmadrucker, SCREEN Europe’s exclusive Open House welcomed leading pharmaceutical leaflet printing professionals from across the EMEA region.
The two-day event brought together C-level executives, business owners, finishing specialists, and workflow experts to explore how SCREEN’s Truepress JET innovations are delivering the agility of digital inkjet with the print quality of offset—meeting the evolving data accuracy demands of this highly specialised industry.
Bringing Digital to the Pharmaceutical Leaflet Printing Industry
Visitors witnessed first-hand how the SCREEN Truepress JET 520HD+ for colour and Truepress JET 520HD Mono for monochrome printing could produce pharmaceutical leaflets on papers as thin as 40gsm with high-opacity ink coverage without any additional primers pre-treatment to efficiently reproduce offset-quality designs and text that surpasses all readability requirements with no show-through, bleed, or oversaturation.
After the printing stage, attendees continued to explore a complete end-to-end production workflow in a live production environment featuring solutions from key equipment providers such as MBO, Videk, and Delfort. The thorough integration of these inspection and finishing solutions ensures each of Die Pharmadrucker’s pharmaceutical leaflets are individually inspected as fully regulatory compliant, at rapid production speeds from a reliable Japanese-precision engineered press with proven industry leading uptimes.
As the pharmaceutical packaging industry sees individual order size shrinking and regulatory demands intensifying, the ability to produce small batches of high-quality, digitally printed and fully compliant leaflets cost-effectively is more critical than ever before.
The Future of Pharmaceutical Leaflet Printing
This highly focused event offered a new platform where business leaders in this industry were able to engage directly with SCREEN engineers, finishing equipment providers, and the experienced production team at Die Pharmadrucker while networking with their peers in this vitally important sector. The thorough integration of theses partners pre-press and finishing solutions with SCREEN’s proprietary workflow management software EQUIOS minimised manual intervention and setup, visible in the highly automated production at Die Pharmadrucker’s facility.
As they departed, they were also provided with fully-folded finished samples of digitally printed pharmaceutical leaflets, illustrating the offset-quality output achieved by SCREEN’s high-speed inkjet presses with digital printing agility and flexibility.
“It was an honour to welcome so many international professionals from across the pharmaceutical packaging industry to our facility,” said Felix Fischer, Managing Director at Die Pharmadrucker. “As a company focused solely on pharmaceutical leaflet printing and production, we understand the challenges our peers face. Hosting this event with our printing equipment partner SCREEN allowed us to demonstrate how far digital inkjet technology has come—and how ready it is to deliver tangible results for this highly regulated sector.”
As the pharmaceutical printing landscape continues to evolve, SCREEN remains committed to supporting its customers with innovative, tailored solutions that deliver results.
