The international tour of Ucima continues, as the association remains committed to promoting Italian packaging and processing technologies worldwide. Trade shows represent important stages of We Make Packaging, the collective brand through which Ucima supports the presence of Italian companies on foreign markets, highlighting the technological and manufacturing excellence of the sector. The next events in the exhibition calendar will take place in Latin America and Asia, with participation in Expo Pack Guadalajara (10-12 June) and Propak Asia (11-14 June).
At Expo Pack Guadalajara, held at the Expo Guadalajara venue in Guadalajara (Mexico), Ucima will participate with a collective exhibition organized in cooperation with the Italian Trade Agency (ICE), featuring 27 Italian companies: Agriflex, Axtra, Bellini e Meda, Boatopack, Camozzi Automation, Cavanna, Dipran, DM Packaging Group, Ecopack, FBR-Elpo, ICA, Imeta, Inkmaker, IPI, Italdi Bipack, Miele, Multipress, Omas Tecnosistemi, PND Costruzioni Elettromeccaniche, Raytech Vision, Ricciarelli, Rossi Ingegneria Alimentare, S.T.V. di Salati Giovanni & C., Senzani Brevetti, Teicom Sistemi, Tropical Food Machinery and Zille & Bellini.
Mexico remains one of the most strategic global markets for the industry. In 2024, the country imported packaging machinery worth 1.1 billion euros, an increase of 13.8% compared to the previous year. For the first time, Italy has become Mexico’s leading commercial partner, with exports reaching 308.4 million euros, accounting for a market share of 27.3%.
At the same time, Ucima will also take part in Propak Asia, the leading trade event for the Asian packaging industry, held at the BITEC exhibition center in Bangkok, Thailand. The Italian Pavilion will host 40 companies: ABL, Aetna Group, Agriflex, Akomag, Angelus, Antares Vision Group, AROL, Camozzi Automation, Cavanna, Cepi, Colines, Ct Pack, E80 Group, Easysnap Technology, FPE Food Processing Equipment, Fraugroup, Frigosystem, Galdi, Industrial Frigo, Interpump Group, LM, Macchi, Mariani, Maspak, Moss, Navatta Group Food Processing, Omipa, Omnia Technologies, Omso, P.E. In 2024, Asian countries imported packaging machinery worth 6.5 billion euros, up 7.3% compared to 2023. Italy ranked third among suppliers in the region, with exports totaling 1.1 billion euros and a market share of 17.3%, confirming the strength of made in Italy technologies in Asian markets as well.
