Founded in 2010 in Dubai and expanding into the UK in 2019, London-based Sketches International provides a broad suite of creative services including design, branding, video production, website development and high-end digital print. The team of five prides itself on offering more than just production, delivering an end-to-end service tailored to each client’s needs.
Installed in February 2024, the Revoria Press PC1120 has allowed the agency to expand its digital print capabilities across a range of applications, from stationery and stickers to special high-end packaging like luxury paper bags. With the ability to print six colours in a single pass and a wide variety of speciality toners, the press has quickly become integral to Sketches’ offering.
Nizar Al Olabi, Director of Sketches International, says, “We first discovered the Revoria Press PC1120 at Labelexpo 2023, and its ability to print with both white and gold toner immediately stood out. Initially, we were looking for a solution that could handle white ink, but the added capability of gold convinced us to move forward with the investment, and we’re glad we did. It’s opened up so many creative possibilities, from special edition packaging to high-end labels across over 20 different materials.
“The press’s outstanding colour quality, registration accuracy, and support for embellishment-ready printing have been game changers. We’re able to offer our clients a final product proof with metallic finishes – sometimes that’s what closes the deal. One of our standout offerings is being among the first in the UK to provide short-run stickers with special effects, which gives us a huge competitive edge,” Mr. Al Olabi adds.
In addition to the Revoria PC1120 press, the company invested in XMF PressReady, Fujifilm’s advanced print workflow automation software. The solution has helped streamline job onboarding, reduce setup times, and minimise errors, all particularly valuable for a compact team.
