Starnberg, Germany – Sibress, a leading manufacturer of measuring and analysis systems for the quality control of flexographic and packaging printing, will be presenting its entire current product portfolio at Labelexpo Europe 2025 in Barcelona. As a new innovation, the company will unveil a version of the FlexoControl 3D Plus device for measuring photopolymer sleeves.
FlexoControl 3D Plus is the only plate measuring device that simultaneously captures the surface as well as the deeper areas of halftone dots and their base support on the flexo plate from the side and displays both views side by side on the computer screen. Two cameras capture the surface and flanks (slope) of the printing elements. The side camera captures the entire image area in razor-sharp detail.
The new sleeve version of FlexoControl 3D Plus is a highly mobile, lightweight solution suitable for sleeves up to 1,800 mm long with diameters between 140 mm and 270 mm. The measuring device has two height-adjustable support rails on its sides and an optical positioning aid. It comes with an LED transmitted light unit and one or two sleeve support elements.
In addition, FlexoControl 3D Plus now features new, more powerful incident light illumination, which enables the measurement of offset printing plates and certain laser-engraved (DLE) sleeves.
Labelexpo attendees can see live demonstrations of the new sleeve version of FlexoControl 3D Plus and other Sibress products at booth L72.
