Chemicals industry increased its export by 24 percent in May

increased by 24.3 percent compared to the previous year. In January-May 2024, exports of our industry increased by 10.7 percent and achieved 13.5 billion dollars in value. We are proud for the increase in our national exports and having the chemicals industry as one of the highest contributing industries. “Mineral fuels and products” was the highest exported product group in May

Mineral fuels and products became the highest exported chemicals and products product group in May with an export value of 916 million 162 thousand dollars. The second group was plastics and products with an export value of 870 million 350 thousand dollars while inorganic chemicals occupied the third place with an export value of 254 million 388 thousand dollars. ‘Inorganic chemicals’ were followed by ‘essential oils, cosmetics and soap’, ‘rubber, rubber products’, ‘paint, varnish, ink, and products,’ ‘pharmaceuticals,’, ‘miscellaneous chemical agents,’ ‘cleaning products,’ and ‘organic chemicals’ in the top ten.

Romania was the highest receiver of exports in May

Romania was the highest receiver of exports in May with 207.2 million dollars of export value. The top ten receiver of exports in May were Romanis, Spain, Holland, USA, Russia, Greece, Germany, Iraq, Italy, and England. The highest increase in May among the top 10 countries was achieved to Greece with 233.42 percent.
